How to Combat the Dark Circles under My Eyes

dark circles.jpgHow old are we starting to get wrinkles or any other signs of aging, I am just wondering? It is because I don’t have any wrinkles, but I have dark circles under my eyes that won’t go away. I’ve tried so many beauty products, and it is not working. The dark circles are still there up until now.

From what I read, there are a number of causes of dark circles under eyes some of which are rubbing, sleep difficulty (possibly due to stress or depression), allergies, dehydration, and aging (oh no!). The skin tissue around the eyes is less plump and gets thinner when aging, causing dark circles.

Theoretically, there are a lot of other ways to deal with dark circles, from drinking lots of water to avoid dehydration, get plenty of sleep since the skin has self-healing properties and regulates fluids and transfers them to areas where they are needed itself, healthy diet, stop smoking (well, I don’t smoke!), and regular eye cream treatment.

We need to know that most regular wrinkle creams do not contain ingredients to combat dark under-eye circles, so if this is something we want from an eye cream, we should find anti-aging eye treatment products for that specific purpose. For dark circles, eye serums with light diffusers and skin brighteners are ideal for a temporary fix. Moisture-rich creams that promote collagen renewal will help build up fragile under eye skin over time. As for reducing the color of the area itself, 1% to 2% hydroquinone is our best bet.

What we need to always remember is that any anti-aging skin care products, from eye treatment, anti-wrinkles, antioxidant & vitamin C, and many more don’t work instantly. Most creams give quick temporary results and may provide some benefit when used over the long run. And that is probably why I fail so far, from lack of patience and too many product changing.
