What’s in Your Mind When Your Child Turns One Year Old?
Giving birth to your baby must be an unforgettable moment in your life. As you’ve been carrying her in your womb and experiencing the ups and downs of getting pregnant, the labor day is indeed the most exhausting yet the happiest day in your life.
Now months have passed and your baby has turned or will turn one year old soon.
What exactly are you feeling when this moment comes? The moment when your baby turns her first year of life…
To me, it was one of the days when I can’t describe what I really feel inside. There was so much happiness, couldn’t believe that me, hubby, and our baby had gone through this amazing period. Even until now…
I’m blessed that God has given this wonderful gift to us. Thank You for this beautiful present.
And I do still want to have it, to feel it, in years to come. I’m sure you hear my pray, dear God.
I’m glad I found this blog today. Bridgermama, a new mama in a new city, also has the same feeling about her son who will turn one year old in a week and a half.
I really love reading the post. And here are the lovely words at the end of it.
“I am also not to proud to say that I will probably sneak off and cry just a bit on B’s special day. But this all comes from a very pure and special place. I am so thankful and completely in love with being a mother. Most of all I am in love with my amazing B.”
Very deep and beautiful … Thanks for sharing, Bridgermama…

As mom to a 5 and 8 year old, I have to say that I still feel that way on their birtdays and I don’t think that will ever change. It’s not just a milestone in their lives, birthdays become milestones for our journey as parents. Nice stuff.
