Strengthening the Mother-Infant Bond
Do you ever realize it is important for you to maintain and strengthen a beautiful bond with your baby?
This emotional bond between you and your baby begins as your baby delivered. It even starts when you still carry her in the womb. You read to her, listen to music together, speak, and even sing to her.
This incredible connection will hopefully stay forever between the two of you. But then, how can you sustain this bond? Here are some great ways to accomplish:
1. Latch On Early
When there is no complication following the delivery, ask the doctor or nurse to latch the baby on you as soon as she is born. Put your baby on your chest and breastfeed her. Next, try to hold her more often.
2. Breastfeed Your Baby
Not only does breastfeeding enhance the intimacy with your baby but also it is the best nutrition for the first 6 months of her life.
3. Speak to Your Baby
Talk to your baby softly. This will make her feel safe and sound.
4. Caress Your Baby
