What would you answer if someone asked you that question?

I’d simply ask why shouldnt I be..

I would say: “You don’t have to be, but why wouldn’t you want to be?”
I think this would roll out of my lips very quickly. That or I would go into the you will probably regret not trying to be a good parent when your children grow up and don’t so much as look at you.
