Thursday 13 - 13 Gift Ideas for Mother’s Day
Adwina and I have just talked about what we are giving our Mom this Mother’s Day…so I think it would be nice to list what I (as a mother) would like to get from my kids (later when they grow up and decide to visit me on Mother’s Day)…
- Flowers (lots of them)
- A beautiful frame with my picture with her/him, smiling beautifully
- The latest, most modern gadgets
- Books! (not just cooking books, but any books)
- A lovely bag
- A pendant with our photos in it
- A gym voucher (to keep me healthy)
- A mug saying “I love you, Mom” so I can remember her/him when I use it
- 2 around the world tickets (one for me and one for their Dad)…only if hubby and I haven’t done it
- Boxes of chocolate (hope I don’t have diabetes)
- Pens (yes, just like my mother, I have this huge love for pens, I collect them…and pens are one of the things I might give my Mom this year)
- My grandchildren’s drawings…(sweet, isn’t it?)
- A beautiful family dinner…
Those might be simple but love in those gifts make them beautiful…
Happy Mother’s Day!
Happy TT!

I’m crazy about pens too. A pen that writes well makes me fabulously happy - nearly as happy as a new handbag makes me. I like the idea of giving to charity in my mom’s name, but she likes to get something as a gift, so I’m compromising this year and sending her flowers *shush - don’t tell her* AND donating to a charity in her name this year.

Grandchildren…who will appreciate me and love me and whom I can spoil!

My kids always make homemade items and those are the ones I like the best. Hubby of course can buy me flowers.
Love the list, very simple and easy for others to get ideas for their own moms.

Great gifts for Mother. But, it’s nice just to have the kids and grandkids visiting. To me, Mother’s Day is just another day, since I’m a mother every day. But, I do think we need to remember our older Moms. Mine is 90 and healthy, thank the Lord.
Thanks for visiting.

An around the world ticket would be a great present…but I’m thinking of another reason. I think it would more a present for me and my sisters.
Great list!!!

This is a great list! I don’t have kids, but my 2 dogs got me a pen and journal for Mom’s Day - with the help of my hubby, who went into Barnes & Noble for them. LOL
Have a terrific week, and thanks for visiting my blog!
