They were conditioned to make their life meaningful to the world.

But, let me also suggest you something.
Before pushing them into being someone extraordinary, start with yourself. You’re their role model.
Just like what Maria’s parents have done. Well, no need to be politically active. Start with simple things in your surrounding.
There’s another thing. Observe your children’s characteristics. Are they the kind of persons that can accept such driving force?
If you think they can’t, find another way to encourage your children.
