Father’s Day 2006: Moment of Honesty
A father, someone to look up to, or someone to leave behind?
Everyone has their own ide in mind about a father. One’s thought might be different to another.
What about you? Has your father been there to watch you on your first school drama show? Has he been there to take care of you while you didn’t feel well? Has he made you a gorgeous tree house on the backyard?
Or, he was never there for you?
Father Day is coming. It’s time for you to remember every single thing about your father. The ups and downs of your father-child relationship. The happy and sad moments you both shared.
To the remembrance of a father, we, at InsParenting.com, pose some questions as you can see below to help you look deep into your heart. Just answer them before you come to him and express all your feelings…
- What is a father to you?
- What makes you love him so much? Or…
- What makes you hate him?
- Do you wish him to change? What are the changes? And, why?
- Do you have something to say to him that you’ve been wishing to tell but couldn’t? What’s that?
Those questions are all yours to dwell on and respond to.

For me,
My father was the first man I granted my love to. He’s the one who helps me to be who I am now, despite his absence on some of my school performances. He was busy working, for me, that’s why I have bunches of forgiveness for him…

I miss my father so much. He died last year because of a heart attack. And from that moment, I realized that I hadn’t done good things for him when he lived. I LOVE HIM A LOT. If I could turn back the time, I would treat him the best I could.
