Divorced Dad: get along with the kids

Sometimes it’s not easy for Dads to keep up their bond with the kids for their being away. However, giving up the relationship is not a wise thing to do.

Don’t let the kids be the fragile victims of your separation.

It’s true that you can’t always be there for your kids. Yet, it’s only about knowing when to be visible and when to be in the background. Try to find out moments when they need you to be there.

Your existance and love will avoid them being lost in the divorced parents world. With you still being around, they don’t feel like having separated parents.

Get your focus off your ex-wife and all your reasons to make the hurting decision. Forget all what happened between the two of you. When the right time shows up, discussion with her about your children should be done.

Also, don’t ask your kids to take side, yours or your wife’s. They should be on both your sides as you both also have to be on their sides.

Just like what Lydia Maria Child once said, “Blessed indeed is the man who hears many gentle voices call him father!
