My kidneys failed last september and I was hospitalized for 2 weeks. I missed my son's first day of school altogether! He was almost suspended for fighting too. He is not a fighter either, I think he was just so stressed out with my being in the hospital. And he stayed with 3 different family members during that time also. However I did follow my heart when his teacher wanted him to repeat kindergarden. I chose to have him go to grade 1 and maybe get tutoring on the side. I feel so sad reading this.
