Best way to buy baby clothes?
I am not sure how much clothing for my baby boy I will need to get. I know babies grow fast and so I don’t want to get all his clothes in sized 0-3 or 0-6 months. What is an appropriate amount of clothing to get for 0-3 months, 3-6 months and then 6- 12 months??

You need about 5-8 outfits per size. You need 5-8 gowns for a newborn (0-3 mo) b/c they mess them up often and you don’t want to be stuck in the middle of the night with a naked baby!!! For the winter, get like 2 pairs of jeans, 2-3 pairs of different colored knit pants (like navy, black, red) and you can mix and match his shirts…that’s what I did.
Depending on whether you have a washing machine or not or easy access to one, you may want to alter the numbers a bit.
GOOD LUCK!

Is better to buy clothes one at the time, if the baby is 1month years old don’t buy further than 6 months years old, and do not buy that many coz they will be little in a short time.
To know the size of your baby when u go shopping just bring with you a pijama that fits perfectly to the baby so u will be able to compare sizes.

Welli would say for the first 3 months, do not buy all these cutsie outfits, because they won’t wear them/ don’t need them when they are that small. buy onsies in bulk, that is what you will use mostly, also, feetie pajama’s for the night time, it just depends how many you think you will need, everyone is different, i had 2 baby showers so my daughter is almost 3 months and has only wore some of her outfits once or twice because she has so many, I personally wouldn’t buy that many though, its unneccessary.

Get a week’s worth of clothing and if you take care of it properly, you can take it to a consignment or second hand kids clothing store and get more when he grows. My stepdaughters get lots of outfits for their kids very inexpensively this way.

0-6 is best to start with your baby should fit in to that in the beginning. It depends how big or little the baby will be. My daughter was 9 lbs 3 ozs she only wore size 1 diapers for 2 days. so it will depend on the baby. Have about 2 weeks worth of onzes 0-6 months should do you for a little while. That way he shouldn’t grow out of them too fast you will still be in the same season /temp. You got to be careful about buying that you hope will fit in the spring and have him fit in them in the winter. Buy a few here and there. Best a luck

its really hard to say because all babys grow at diff. rates my daughter was 9lbs13oz and was in preme because the 0 to 3 was to long. and she is 4months old and is just now begining to wear 3 to 6. but i will tell you this much its a good idea to goahead and get 0 to 3 and 3 to 6 because when they make that transhion who has the time to stop everything and go shoping….

I went on e-bay and have bought clothes “lots”. These lots typically have many items in them. I’ve spent maybe $120 (including shipping) total and have over 75 outfits, ranging from 0-3 months to 9-12months. The quality of the items I’ve got have all been really good and I’ve got almost a complete wardrobe for less than 1/2 of what I’d pay at a store!

I always went to consignment stores, good will’s and yard sales to buy my baby clothes. Babies through 2 yrs old stay in their clothes 3 - 6 months and they out grow them. A baby under 2 does not dirty their clothes up as bad and you can find practically brand new clothes at reasonable prices.
With reasonable prices you won’t spend a small fortune and go broke every 3 to 6 months when your baby outgrows them.

Once upon a child has $1 sales once in a while and you get nice clean name brand things. If you cant come up with money for anything, speak to some local churches they are usually very helpful in getting donations, I know ours shares alot of baby things.
