What do you do, and for how long have you done it, and how old is the baby? Just wondering… I am trying to figure out just how many people DO let their babies sleep with them. MY mom never was really nurturing to me AL ALL~ So, I think because I am the NURTURING type, my son is actually a lot happier. He is a real LOVER… LOVES to cuddle, and is a sweet boy because of it… What do you think? When I was pregnant, I SWORE Id NEVER let him sleep with us! It is tradition on my fiance’s culture to sleep with the parents/gradparents, the babies… So, I dont mind him in our bed. A LOT of people here in Hawaii do! Do you?
My son has a crib in our room, and in his own room. But, he seems to prefer to sleep in a larger bed. Not always ncessarily cuddling. However, he HATES the cribs, if he is placed into one and is AWAKE< he doesnt like it. I think its the whole, CAGE thing. Once he can walk, Ill buy him a toddler bed, as he is a bigger 10 month old. See how that works for him. I will NOT have a child sleeping with me at the age of 10. I was never allowed to sleep with my mom, even when I had a bad dream. So, when he gets older, he is always welcome with me, in my bed, but I will have him sleeping in his bed too. I think at the age of 1 1/2, or after he is fully not on the bottle anymore I will have him not sleeping with us by then for sure!

My baby is 4 and a half months old. I started her on cereal about a month ago and for the past 2 weeks, I’ve been mixing a little baby food in with it (the stuff in the jars). My mom freaked out and said My baby shouldn’t be eating baby food until she is 6 months old. But most of my friends who have babies say they gave them baby food as early as 4 months. I will ask my Doctor this week when I take her to get her shots, but I wanted an opinion from other parents first. (She is also taking formula all day. I only give her the solid food in the evening.)

I am going to use a bassinet for the baby to sleep in until it is about 3-4 months old. My mother and sister disagree about not moving the baby to a crib after that. I and the father of the baby want to have the baby sleep in the bed with me until it moves to it’s own bed when it gets older. My mother and sister are being to controlling over the issue and are threatening to call child protective services if I refuse to use the crib later. Do they really have the right to do that? Is it against the law or considered child endangerment if the baby sleeps in an adult bed with the parent if there is no threat to them? I don’t smoke, drink, or use drugs and I think the baby will be safer in the bed with me rather than in a crib in case there is ever an emergency?

I just bought the baby trend car seat thru target.com I didn’t like that green one and the chatam one says mostly the same thing in the description. Are they the same car seat that they tested in consumer reports just different fabrics?
I am not asking about consumer reports, i am asking about the car seats designs on the fabric.
