baby clothes

Alex asked:

Hi

Im getting my daugther the talking chou chou for christmas, ive gotten most bits for it but I need some clothes. Looking online etc they seem pricey. I have an idea to get some actual baby newborn or premature clothes and use them?

Which size though? Has anyone done this before? She measures 48cm which is just under 19cm.

Which would be best? Premature/New baby/firstsize or newborn?

HELP!

My daughters nearly 3 so I dont have any tiny clothes left in the house to try!
Oh yeah by the way it would be second hand clothes washed, or bargains on ebay!

baby gift

jack_98 asked:

I need suggestions for gifts for (1) a newborn boy; (2) his 4-year old brother; and (3) his 5 1/2 year old brother. I want to make the older brothers feel appreciated and not ‘left out’. This is for an American family who, obviously, already has the basic baby stuff.

baby gift

leigh asked:

Our neighbors from India are expecting a baby. Are there any traditional Indian baby gifts? With being so far away from their families, they are feeling homesick. I would like to give them a gift that reminds them from home. I would rather not ask them because I want to surprise them.

The Co-Parenting thing, Dad, Mom, Step-Mom …?

step parenting

aaamoradobrooks asked:

Can somebody please explain to me why it is better for the kids if the ex- spouses, step-parents and or new girlfriends, all get together for Holiday dinners etc?

It seems to me that this situation would promote unhealthy boundaries within both households, not to mention extreme awkwardness, and plastic “nice-ness” that would accompany this sort of scenario.

Wouldn’t the kids pick up on the awkwardness and stress of the situation? Kids are not dumb.

I can see how these situations could breed bitterness, power and control issues between adults, particularly if one of the exes does not have a new partner and the other does.

Why is this thought of as such a good thing for children of divorce parents?

Using fabric softener to soften newborn baby’s clothes?

baby clothes

Bubbly asked:

I am 34 weeks + 6 days preggo with baby #2. I understand that any normal or strong detergent used on baby clothes can harm baby’s skin. So, i bought purex baby detergent 2 cans and since there wasnt any more stock, i bought 5 packs of pigeon baby detergent(i stock things as i live a bit away from the city and cant keep going every now and then to get things) I have a fabric softener called ‘Fairy’ fabric softener specially made for babies. Can i use the fabric softener on newborn baby’s clothes? Or should i wait until the baby grows? I want to be careful with the products i use in order to avoid causing irritation to the skin of my baby.

There is a print on the container saying… ‘Dermatologically tested and Hypoallergenic” and also ‘Huggably soft for sensitive skin”

Kindly put in ur opinions regarding this. Thanks :-)

My friend is due in a couple of weeks, and I wanted to get her another baby gift. I wanted it to be something I could make. She’s having a girl. I kind of wanted to make something she could hang on the wall, but I wasn’t sure what. Thanks for all your help!

baby gift

Silly_Rabbit (identity crisis) asked:

My friend had a baby and I bought her a few things. I got her a teddy bear, an alphabet (learning) book, a bib, baby washcloths and some lotion for the mommy. Is that an okay gift for a new mom?
Oh yeah, I know the book is for an older child. Right now he is 4 months, but she lives out of town and I don’t know when I will see her again so I wanted to give her something she can also use down the road.
