so this question is for moms of dads. I am expecting a little girl in June. I kind of went crazy and bought about 20 outfits in the 0-3 month size.and most of them say they will fit between 7-12 pounds. I am starting to wonder if that is going to be way too many. I am not sure how fast she will grow out of them. Should I take some back? Do I have about the right amount? Hw long does it usually take an infant to go into the 3-6 month clothing. P.S- I will not be having a shower so reciveing any clothes will not be quarnteed.

ok I am sure every mum knows those bonds wondersuits the terry towling ones. When I was pregnant I said to eveyone that that was all my baby was going to wear because I think they are so cute.. My son is now 1 and 6 weeks does anyone know if they make them for 1 year olds because I havnt seen them anywhere.. Also do you think 1 is abit to old to be wearing wondersuits?

Baby clothes are so expensive. I’m a single mom who works full time and trying to make ends meet, and all the while I have to get new work clothes and my one year old needs new clothes. He’s grown out of everything I had for him. I went to a thrift store, and habitat for humanity, but can’t seem to find anything in his size.
I’ve looked everywhere for good consignment stores too and can’t find any. Where else can I look?

Do you know any websites I can find really cheap baby clothes besides ebay and amazon? or any stores in NY

I’m helping plan my baby shower and I have a few things that I would like others opinions on & I would like a little advice from some mothers/mothers to be who have had baby showers or some of you who have given baby showers.

1. What would be an ideal number of people to invite to a baby shower? (the location where I’m having my baby shower is a nice size)
2. When should I have a baby shower? (I was thinking about having my shower on Oct.13th…I will be 37 wks at this time…is that pushing it a little too close to my due date? Should I have it a week or two earlier?)
3. What’s a good time for the shower to start? (I was thinking about 3pm…should I do it at little earlier or later than that?)

My sister-in-law’s baby shower is this Saturday and I am the so called”spokes-person”, you know handing her all the gifts, reading the cards, making the hat, and I have no idea what lil baby shower games to play…Any suggestions would be appreciated
p.s. it’s not ur reg baby shower, all the guys are going to be there, and liquor, and a d.j.
Baby Shower= a party for the mother-to-be, friends and family get together, and bring gifts for the unborn baby…It’s a very nice time, and helps the mother-to-be out tremendously w/ buying thins for her baby

I want to start buying things for my baby but my mother in law says to wait because the family will want to buy me things. (Just on his moms side there is like 15 bros and sis..Plus my husband was the baby of the family and for some reason everyone thinks hes like “god”…Everyoen loves him…Anyways…she wants me to wait etc…which alot of ppls have told me…But I want to make sure I have everything I want…I only want one child and I want it to be everything I can…I dont expect people to buy me the expensive gifts Travel syst, high chair, swing, playyard which I want all matching sets…I would never think they would buy me those expensive things….but my mother in law says to wait!!!!!! She tried to tell me she had my sis in laws baby shower after the baby was born but I definately dont’ want that…I’m not trying to be rude but I want everything b4 i have the baby so I dont have to worry about money as much wit the things i could have been workin on b4 the baby gets here

My friend is having a baby boy due in December and her mom is throwing her a baby shower in December as well. I was starting to think of what kind of clothes I should get for him, as in should I buy him baby clothes for newborns or some that he can grow into? It would be great if someone could tell me how they go about months on baby clothes. Thanks!
