What Men Said about Father’s Day

Tuesday, June 20th, 2006

As Father’s Day had passed, I’ve found how interesting it is to peep around dads’ or men’s blogs. I’ve read how they think about this occasion and how they celebrated it with the family.

The Blogfathers, in The Man in Between, expressed the feeling in such wonderful, touching words in the entire entry. Sometimes I don’t think that men could convey their feelings inside in lovely phrases. In here, I just found it.

Meanwhile, Joshua recalled the moment when he and his dad going fishing. A cool picture he has there!

Alas, some people just had to be unlucky on Father’s Day. Phil, for example, had kayaking on the lake in North Idaho, which unfortunately lead to an accident and disappointment. I’m really sorry to hear about the disaster, Phil. Thank God you and your son were alright.
Dads out there… again, Happy Father’s Day!…

Lovely Father’s Day Postings

Monday, June 19th, 2006

Just now, I made a walk to some cyberhomes and found that yesterday they were celebrating Father’s Day. One is different from another, with their own customs, with their own stories, with their own lovely pictures.

Yet, all I could find was love.

There was a story about Papa Ed by Antique Mommy and Chelle’s friendship with her father. Also, I found a nice story of bubandpie telling how lucky her kids to have her father as a grandpa.

Not only expressing love for their own Daddy, some congratulated their husband as the father of their children, like Blondemom and Nancy with the lovely pictures and Spina Bifida with her lovely gift to her husband, a book.
One had this Father’s Day conversation posted. Another posted 13 things her father used to say.
Yet, this City Mama was so lucky, the luckiest could be, in a lovely Father’s Day!Well, no matter how you celebrate the day, whatever you’ve posted, all I wanna say, again…is…

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

A Daddy Blogging?

Friday, June 16th, 2006

It’s interesting to know that there are men out there who love the idea of blogging. I just found out one of the blogging daddies. It’s 4walkers.

From his blog, I may say that daddies can also tell about their family or friends. He said “the primary objective of this blog is to inform and entertain our family and friends, have a record of the boy’s childhood that they may enjoy one day and of course… myself”.

I thought men have difficulties expressing their thoughts or feelings. Now I think that maybe blogging is a very good way to share what they have in heart and mind rather than talking about it openly to other people.

What I’m curious is whether daddies jot down their words in a different way from mothers or women do. I have no specific word for this, but I think it’s interesting to find an unusual one. I haven’t found any. Sorry, but I’m not having much time to do it. Maybe you know some? Would you tell me about them?

4walkers, nice to know about your great blog. The pictures on Some June Photos are so cuuuteee.. Give my hugs for them.

And since Father’s Day approaches, maybe you can express how you feel about your dad. You can share anything about him here. Thanks in advance and have a great weekend!

Are you leaving me, Mommy?

Friday, June 16th, 2006

Yes, honey, I am…

That’s what you should say, with the calmest tone possible, whenever you’re leaving your little baby for quite a long time.

It’s hard, I know, especially when the baby is still breastfed.

But, don’t panic and worry too much, as long as you’ve

  • squeezed as much milk as your baby would need
  • handed him to the one that you trust most, a husband, a mother or a MIL

So, just wave goodbye and hit the road!

Bubbye, Mom, have fun!
