Happy First Birthday, Little Boy …

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Many parents must be so exciting about their children’s first birthday. I guess you are one among them.

You’ll think that it’s one of the most beautiful days in your life.

You don’t realize that the days went so fast and now your tiny babies have grown beautifully into smart little kiddos.

They are now able to say a few words. Maybe saying “mama”, “dada”, “tata”, “caca”?

Or, do they walk already? Be prepared with extra energy as you’re going to follow wherever they go. Exciting, right?

Happy first birthday to little Nicholas…

Your grandma Mindy is so sweet. Thanks a lot for sharing the cute pictures. And kind regards to Daddy Ryan and Mommy Samantha :) .

Blog of the Week

Friday, July 28th, 2006

For the last two weeks, I had chosen Ellen’s The Broken Road and Another Mommy Moment as the Blog of the Week.

This week, Blog of the Week award goes to Wonder Mom. Her name is Kris, a mom to Ben, John, and Ava, and a wife to Brian.

Her Two Years post, though written several days ago, really fascinates me.

It was her blog’s 2nd ‘birthday’. It’s really nice to read about how she enjoys blogging and how much she gets from it.

What touches me most is her writings about all she’s gone through in her family life. So beautiful!

By the time I write this, she’s still on her vacation with her loved ones.

Enjoy your family time, dear. Hope to hear from you soon…

Teaching Your Kids about the Value of Money

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

Some parents find difficulties in dealing with the family finances. Here are some advice on how to control your family budget.

It’s also important to teach your children about the value of money and to appreciate and be responsible with it as money doesn’t come by itself.

So, the following article may hopefully help you with this matter. Enjoy it.

Money Matters
By Pat Brill

It’s never too soon to teach your children about the value of and responsibility toward money. Here are some excellent activities to teach your children about finances, from your toddler who seems to want everything to your trendy teenager who won’t do anything unless it’s in style.

Just as bad habits are very hard to break, good habits that you teach children now will last a lifetime. If you have toddlers, now is the best time for Moms to teach them how to manage money. If you have older children don’t worry…it’s not too late. Instilling positive money values now will create a wonderful foundation for your little future investors.

Something about the Touch

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

Stephanie wrote something really nice in her blog, Adventures in Babywearing.

As her little man always wants his mommy on his side all the time, Stephanie remembered the moments when she was a child. The times when she wanted to be held close by her mom or dad.

I love her way of saying the words. So beautiful. So reminds me of my mom and dad, too. How I miss them a lot. How I adore them. How I love them with all my heart.
