Alcoholism Almost Destroyed Their Family

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

It’s absolutely not easy when alcoholism runs in the family. It’s a serious addiction. It can be fatal if left untreated.

Persons with high level of anxiety or stress should be careful, because this emotional condition can lead them to drink alcohol and unfortunately become addicted to it.

Another thing that can make people addicted to alcohol is when they are depressed.

I don’t know what causes this bad habit in Rockstar Mommy’s husband. However, fortunately, things are significantly better for the family.

It’s really great to hear about it since alcoholism almost killed their marriage.

Yes, her husband is an alcoholic. Gratefully, he has been sober for two months now. He’s been fighting it.

It’s just so wonderful to know that their marriage life has been a million times better ever since he stopped drinking.

Congratulations to both of you, Ty and Rockstar Mommy… And thanks so much for sharing your encouraging story.

I found out this link about National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month 2006. I hope this might be helpful.

Have a nice day with your family… and GOOD LUCK, dear!

Two pretty little girls just had their haircut…

Mrs. Chicky must have been very happy now since, finally, she won’t find a mullet in her 15-month old girl anymore. Cute pictures she has in her blog.

The other one is Meredith, who thinks that she looks like she’s 18 because of her new extraordinary look. Her mommy, Angela (Fluid Pudding) captured some exciting photos you really shouldn’t miss!

Yeah, you can say these have the best hairstyles in the world…

Thank you for sharing those adorable photos, mamas!

Treatments and Causes for Asthma in Children

Monday, August 14th, 2006

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that currently, there are no preventive measures or cure for asthma. However, children and adolescents who have asthma can still have a quality, productive life if they can control the disease.

How? Take medication and avoid contacts with asthma triggers, which include cockroaches, dust mites, furry pets, mold, tobacco smoke, and certain chemicals.

For more information about asthma in children, please take a look at the article below. Have a nice reading!

Blog of the Week

Friday, August 11th, 2006

Tertia from South Africa in her So Close blog wrote about her thought on the boob thing and some related issues.

Some people think that they are offended by moms-breastfeeding-their-babies pictures.

Indeed, there are people who feel offended JUST because some women are nursing publicly.

This topic has been a very hot issue lately.

Tertia’s post really draws a lot of attention. And take a look at this comment of her over the large numbers of them, which is about her husband’s viewpoint about the picture of a woman-nursing-her-baby over a magazine.

The point is, because of this thoughtful post, Tertia is chosen as the Blog of the Week.

Thank you for your encouragement, Tertia. Lots of kisses to your adorable Adam and Kate…
