A Short Message for Dads
Saturday, March 31st, 2007Hug your son, now, Dad…
:)
It’s been only 2 hours since you last smiled happily knowing that you were pregnant, but now you shed a tear. What is that? Emotional roller coaster?
But, no need to worry. It’s actually normal for a pregnant woman. I’ve been there, too, myself. It’s simply hormonal. Understanding what exactly goes on in each trimester of your pregnancy helps you control the emotion.
Trimester 1: Worry and worry
1. Most of pregnant mommas are worried about their pregnancy. Specifically, they are afraid of losing the baby, mostly if it’s their first pregnancy.
2. That fear can make them feel out-of-the-way. They need to talk about that but other people around them don’t. Getting into a group of pregnant moms can help.
3. Sometimes, the emotion is simply a “statement” or a wish to get attention, especially from their husband.
Trimester 2: Cheerfulness
4. In this 4th month, the worry is fading.
5. It’s time to be happy since the pregnant moms can feel the baby moves.
6. But, sometimes, it comes again, this unnecessary worry. They have a certain fear that their husband leaves them as their belly gets bigger and bigger.
7. They just don’t know that most husbands love it as they think it’s sexy.
8. Yet, as months go by, those moms get their confidence back.
9. And most can even enjoy having intercourse with their husband again.
Trimester 3: Tiredness
10. Some of those mothers are tired with their pregnancy.
11. Some are afraid that the delivery won’t go smoothly
12. Some are worried about their capability of being a good mother.
13. Some are afraid they cannot breastfeed their children.
But, no need to worry that much. Try to always think positively, you can pass each trimester with lots of smiles.
And, giving birth is not that frightening. Cannot breastfeed? You can go to the lactation consultant to get help. Being a good mother? If you have love in your heart, you can be a wonderful mother.
How do you feel seeing your children grow up? How do you feel seeing your children turn into a teenager? My kids are still young but sometimes I imagine how it will be when the day comes.
Come on, share your feeling–whether you have passed the day or simply imagine it–’cause all of you are tagged.
;)
BTW, Bubba’s Sis, happy birthday to your daughter. You inspired me to come up with this question. Thanks.
Hope everything goes well with the marriage and Nicole’s hope on pregnancy.
Urban thanks Kidman for saving his life
“Australian country singer Keith Urban, who is married to actress Nicole Kidman, is grateful to the actress for saving his life. The singer said that their wedding is not about Kidman being married to him, but that he is happy that he is married to her, for she put his life on the right track.”
“Hollywood star Nicole Kidmanis reportedly expecting her first child, having undergone months of fertility treatment to help in her quest to become a mother.”
I was tagged by Steph from Adventures in Babywearing for sharing the baby diaper bag I have. Here’s the silly story behind the bags (yes, more than one):
Before my baby was born, my husband and I were excited in buying baby things. Those include baby diaper bags.
Most of the time, my husband just followed whatever I thought good for the baby. But when it came to baby diaper bags, he became very stubborn. He said that he wanted a bag with a neutral color and style (he prefers the backpack one). He insisted because he wished to help me carry the bag.
Sounds sweet, doesn’t it?
But, if I knew that it would make the searching soooo difficult, I wouldn’t want to listen to his words. Imagine, we spent more than 2 months simply to decide the kind of bag we were supposed to buy. Silly, isn’t it? I even am ashamed of telling you all this.
So, after those tiring 2 months, we finally bought TWO (”2″) bags. Yes, two bags. One is the ‘girly’ one, for me–that I can carry whenever I go out without him. The other one is the ‘boyish’ one–which of course we bring whenever the two of us go out together with the baby.
Imagine, such a simple thing turned out to be soooooooooo complicated.
