Your 4 Year Old: Books Help a Lot

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

Reading with your four year old is a good way in developing his knowledge. It augments his cognitive ability.

Your kid will get used to talk and think structurally.

At this age, he would start asking you lots of question. You might find difficulties in answering some of those. What should you do?

Just tell him that you don’t know the answer and invite him to look for it in books, magazines or encyclopedia. This is also a good way to ‘teach’ kids that books are important without having to say it.

Learn It from This Girl

Monday, June 18th, 2007

CrazyMumma shared this beautiful story that really touched my heart.

Her bigirl decided to cut her hair off, her beautiful hair. Why is it so touching?

She wanted to give it to a child who had cancer.  Isn’t it a wonderful thing?

Not everyone would do it. Not even grown ups.

And, she, so young, let go her precious thing to have someone else enjoys what she did.

Yes, we should learn form her.

Stargazing

Monday, June 18th, 2007

When Olivia was 3, whenever her Daddy was away for a business trip, I asked her to stargaze. She loved it so much.

It was like experiencing a miracle together with your most beloved one.

Too bad, now she’s busy with her things. And, Jerome is not such a quiet boy who can just lie down for 30 minutes. He would run here and there. He’s not such a stargazer.
