Make Friends by Using Cell Phones or Computers

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Everybody wants to have fun.  And it’s always fun as well as refreshing to meet people, make new friends, and chat with friends.  We can talk about anything with friends.  Even sometimes talking with friends is more distressing, since we can complain and discuss about anything without sacrificing anything in our life, like marriage, family, and so on.

Actually, besides using computer and chatting online, we can also use our cell phones.  There are some service providers that enable  us to meet people, chat, and stay in contact with friends, by using cell phones as well as computers.  First we need to register ourselves by uploading our profiles.  Then we browse people by gender, age, location, and interest (tags). We can just choose to make friends with people we like; we are not necessarily making friends with all people joining the service.  And, it is important, this service is safe because no body will know our cell phone numbers unless we ourselves let them know. People can only see our profile number.  Moreover, unlike any other online services, we can only have one profile that is tied to our cell phone number. During the sign-up process, our cell number is used to verify that we are a real person, and there can only be one profile per number. Thus, the persons we are making friends with are more trust able.

Just try, meet people, and make new friends.  It’s fun!

Ecommerce Shopping Cart Article

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

More and more young parents now are going into business. They prefer to be the employers instead of to be employees. Why? Because they want to be with their family more while of course working for life. Another fact is that more and more people are involved with the internet, or called ecommerce. Offline business goes online, because that will expand more of the market as well as reach.

As an overview, like another stores or business, a complete solution shopping cart software and customer service have the most important roles in ecommerce. The shopping cart software is important to this business because it will provide the best buying and payment system that is secure, easy to navigate, and user-friendly. As for customer service, it is important because this will build the good relationship between business and its customers. The ways to communicate with online customers are by full company disclosure of contact address and numbers, email, presentation videos, forums, live chats, or audio buttons. The better way is by providing call centre, so that the customers can call the company and ask about anything from how to buy, how to pay, or even to complain. In this case, a well trained customer service staff need to be provided.

So basically it’s not so different between offline and online business, between offline stores and online stores. Customer service is very important to communicate with the customers, before and after sales. Thus, customers will be satisfied enough with your service to do repeat transaction with you.

Packing before Traveling

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Traveling with the kids is fun.  But packing can be chaos.  There are so many things that seem to be needed to bring.  Not to mention those kids want to bring all of their toys and other stuff.  Here are some ideas so that your packing can be more organized.

·        One to two weeks before the trip make a note of what will be needed on the trip.  As you gather these items, store them in grocery bag or box.

·        Provide all family members with their own case for toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, shampoo and soap.  Trial size baby bath works well in place of bars of soap.

·        Make a list of like items that each family member will be responsible for packing.  Have them check off the items as they pack.  (ex. 5 pairs sox, swim suit, jacket …)

·        Allow each child to bring a small bag or games, toys, stuffed animals or other personal items to make them feel comfortable.

·        Several months before a trip, find a few small toys that your child enjoys, but hasn’t played with in a while and pack them away.  Bring these toys with you on your trip for something ‘new’ to play with. Small toys like the ones found in happy meals work well with this idea.

·        Should bring items: Band-Aids, antiseptic hand gel, small tissue packs, sun screen, Dr.’s phone numbers, Tylenol – children’s & adults, a rubber door stop can provide extra security for a hotel room door, small plug in nightlight – to help find the bathroom in the middle of the night, Crayons, mechanical pencils, highlighter – good for word search games, paper, deck of cards, zip lock bags (collecting shells, storing food, wet clothes), sun glasses, hats/visors, light weight wind breaker, umbrella, camera with extra film, keep a photo of your child in your wallet – incase you loose them in a crowed area , extra copy of birth certificates, photo id, travel reservations, airline tickets.

Happy traveling!

Emergency Between Paychecks

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Even in our peaceful life emergency happens. This can be medical emergency, when one of your family members got sick. Or car repairing bills that has got to be paid before payday. Or any other reasons, such an unexpectedly large expenses that are not planned. Those emergency expense cannot wait until payday. But they cannot also be paid by our monthly fund, because that will have an effect on the children’s everyday life, such as their tuition fee, or their pocket money, or any other expenses. So, while waiting for payday to come, you can have some cash advance or payday loans.

Basically these cash advance or payday loans are short term loans that need to be paid after you got your paychecks. Since you need the money before due dates, you need to find lenders that can process your loan quickly. Going online is the easiest and fastest way. You can browse and compare reputable lenders that can get you the cash advance and payday loans that you need, apply online, and wait for their response. Usually, the online loan process doesn’t take long time. Once your application is approved, they will deposit the money directly to your checking or saving account. These cash advance sites also offer you flexible payment options and also discreet services, so that you don’t need to be embarrassed.

Watch Out for the Sun!

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Spring is coming.  Summer is following.  Start to watch out for the sun!  Because childhood is a particularly vulnerable time for the dangers of sun exposure. Current studies show that excessive sun exposure during the first 10-20 years of life significantly increases the risk of cancer.

Children generally spend more time outdoors than adults. With long summer days, mid-day activities, and water sports, children receive around three times the actual sun exposure than do adults. Studies have shown that most of one’s sun exposure occurs in childhood. Our thinning Ozone layer may further enhance the dangers of the sun.

The American Academy of Pediatrics, The American Academy of Dermatology, and The Skin Cancer Foundation all advise that sun protection be started in young childhood. Clearly those individuals with fair skin are at a much greater risk than persons with darker skin. It is recommended that a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or greater be used if a person plans on spending any length of time in the direct sunlight.

It is also recommended that infants under 6 months of age be kept out of the direct sunlight as much as possible. Chemical protection is NOT recommended for infants under this age.

The remains of this ancient history are scattered around every corner of the countries, such as Sweden and Norway. Let’s Help to Make Our Environment Healthy and Safe

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Let’s compare between the condition of our environment when we were children and now.  It’s so different.  Too many pollution is in the air, in the water, and even in the earth.  Our environment now is not healthy and safe. That’s why there are so many diseases around the world nowadays.  That’s why, for the sake of our children, let’s help to make it a better place by supporting the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance by all industry.

On personal level, let’s start making some actions in our everyday life, such as less plastics, less CFC, use re-cycle products, and so much more.

On the bigger level, let’s help in spreading the words about the importance of compliance of EHS for business and industries.  Those business and industries don’t do it properly for the reasons of cost, time and energy. The fact is that as long as they use the right kind of EHS Compliance Software, it is not too hard and costly to do.  This EHS software implementation will make sure the responsiveness, flexibility and breadth of the compliance actions while keeping headcount and overhead costs minimized.  Those area of compliances include waste management, toxic release and air emission inventories, global warming and greenhouse gas support,  air permitting, chemical inventories, and so on.

So, there are always solutions for this environmental problems.  Let’s help to make our environment healthy and safe for our children.

Both of My Girls Got Asthma

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

It’s been several years since we found out that Shayna (my little one) has got an asthma. But only until recently we found out that Kayla (my older girl) also has got an asthma. Kayla’s asthma is much much lighter compared to Shayna’s. However, we realised that we need to be more careful in the future. We need to do something to minimise their repeat attacks. Especially Shayna, which had a quite severe attack once or twice in the past. At least we need to ease them, so that each attack will not be as severe as the previous ones. And we really don’t want to just depend on that inhaler and capsules to avoid those attacks.

Swimming is the best exercise for them, since it will give more strength to their lung. We determined to get them to swimming lessons as soon as possible. It is also said that sea air early in the morning is good for their lung. So, last weekend we went to the beach. We got off from home at 6 am. I think that it’s supposed to be earlier, but … hey … it’s weekend anyway. Everybody, including the girls, has the right to get up a little bit later than usual. At the beach, we hired a boat; it seems that the air out in the sea is much better, much cleaner, with less rubish.

Hopefully we will be able to get on to them as routines, weeks after weeks, months after months. Those are the best therapies for them. Wish us luck!

Protect Yourself and Your Loved Ones

Friday, January 25th, 2008

Do we really need to know self-defense, to be able to protect ourselves and our loved ones? Aren’t we too paranoid if we think that it is a dangerous world out there nowadays? Well, I think so. But, when we don’t have any martial arts background, is it possible to master it in a short time with good results; that is that will we really be able to defense ourselves and our loved ones without harming ourselves in return? Here is something to consider!

Now there is this site called Close Combat Training by Captain Chris Pizzo. This Chris Pizzo is the World Leader in Self Defense. He claims, and after you read it I’m sure you’ll be convinced too just as I am, that what he teaches is the real self defense. It is neither just cultural fighting art nor combative sport, which are only most useful in the arena of competition. Real self defense defines any system that you can rely on 100% when you’re in a deserted, dark parking lot and some thug wants your money, your wife, or your life – Real self defense must work regardless of the size, strength, technique, or mindset of your attacker. It is really the truth about martial arts. Try the free test drive!
So many people has trained with this Captain Chris’ Close Combat, from fathers and mothers to be able to protect their family, even to some martial art trainers and marines. And these people believe, while any other martial arts are useful, this self defense is much more useful when you really need to defense yourselves.
